Operational Control Specialist
CurrentResponsible to ensure all flights conducted by Life Link III meet established safety protocols and are in compliance with FAA regulations. Works in conjunction with Communication Specialists assuring coordination of all aspects of Life Link III transport. Responsible for communicating with flight crews, pilots in command (PIC), weather service, communication centers, hospitals, fixed-base operators (FBO), and other services. Coordinate with Communication Center Specialists and PICs when conditions indicate risk factors. Verify the accuracy of all FAA documents and maintain records. Review all flight risk assessments as required with the pilot in command in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations. Monitor and oversee the safe conduct of flight operations of the company’s aircraftCoordinate services needed for flights in progress and Provide weather updates to flights in progress. Monitor crew duty time limitations, currency requirements, and aircraft status to assure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations. Will assist in the development and improvement of practice and processes to meet evolving business needs.
