Throughout his career Scott has established a reputation for developing quality relationships with all levels of Stakeholders necessary for the successful permitting and execution of large inter-provincial infrastructure projects . As Senior Vice President Corporate Relations,, that experience will be key in creating a network of quality ION locations in Canada and beyond.From corporate boardrooms to countless kitchen tables across North America, Scott has negotiated access for industry clients as a land rights negotiator and a realtor. He has personally acquired thousands of leases and kilometers of right of way, led the evaluation process and the purchase of raw land for industrial development, acquired land for renewable energy projects, purchased office buildings and recruited and managed teams of land professionals across Canada. He was involved in some of the most significant infrastructure projects in Canada’s recent history and responsible for the management of land budgets in the hundreds of millions of dollars for Encana and TC Energy. As an advisor to the Government of Alberta’s Land Agents Licensing Board, Scott has helped shape government policy on how industry acquires land rights from the public. Scott has also secured the land rights for mineral resources, and helped bring domestic frac sand production into Canada’s Energy industry, lessening dependence on foreign sources. Scott is leveraging this extensive background to ensure Ion customers will have convenient access to stations strategically located for growth and as a co-founder of Ion, is a key player working to create a recognized leader in renewable energy solutions.
