Prepare drinks for cocktail waitresses and patrons. Be able to manage myself, fellow coworkers and unruly/drunk guests at my bar. Use and balance a register/bank drawer; sometimes in excess of $50,000. I would bartend 3 days a week and manage 2 days a week. I wrote the bar staff schedules during the pool season and handled time off requests. I trained the bartenders with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino standards and helped enforce the policies along with my upper management. I did the ordering for all the pools at Hard Rock. I dispersed all the auto gratuity payments for all pool employees every day and would email this to payroll every 2 weeks at the end of the pay period. I helped with payroll also using Timesaver. I worked with auditing for bank overages/shortages, guest charge disputes, and employee tips. I also worked with IT a lot with POS issues, screen button placement, building the POS screens, drink/bottle prices and bartender/cocktail server POS swipe cards. I also worked with engineering, locksmiths, EVS, Hard Rock Executives and many more departments almost on a daily basis. I was responsible for keeping all my bars, including portable/satellite bars, in proper working order and always health code compliant. I also helped the cocktail waitresses with check issues, guest complaints, guest preauthorization’s, guest payments and credit card companies for guest payment. On top of everything I mentioned above there is always many more day to day operations that I helped handle every day. Plus have a good time with my fellow coworkers, promote teamwork and ensure the guests are having a good time. Treat people the way I would want to be treated.
