My principal research interest concerns autobiographical memory and future-oriented cognition. Specifically, my research aims to develop a greater understanding of ‘future thinking’; a popular and emerging topic with ramifications for cognitive, clinical and health psychology. I have conducted laboratory-based and clinical research involving healthy and brain-damaged individuals to attempt to uncover the cognitive mechanisms of episodic future thinking, and the clinical implications of future thinking disorders. I am also dedicated to increasing the public understanding of psychology, hence my experience writing for The Psychologist and competing in the 3 Minute Thesis competition.
