Change is sometimes difficult to accept, but without change, improvement is simply not possible!!!My passion is identifying company problems, resolving obstacles causing the issue, and making things work more efficiently through IT. I take pleasure in recognizing ways of improving company processes to achieve increased profitability and productivity. I thrive in a challenging environment where my planning and implementation skills can be utilized. I enjoy collaborating with senior management, business partners, and vendors, to manage opportunities, prioritize tasks, and monitor the progress on critical projects.I started my career with computers back in the mid-80s when my brother started his own local computer company, Total Systems Support. I ordered, built, and sold computers for him. My first real career was with VanStar as a computer technician. I would build/repair PCs. I advanced in my job at VanStar to become a contractor for Owens Corning and Dana. Eventually, Dana hired me, and I have spent the last 24 years as a loyal employee. Although I don’t do this as a profession anymore, my phone is constantly ringing with friends and family needing computer repair or advice.One of my favorite opportunities at Dana was when I was promoted to IT lead at the new Matzinger Road facility. It was an excellent learning experience for me, very stressful, but improved my skills immensely. The main cause of my tension was that the BA in charge of the plant left Dana before startup, and I was thrust into doing everything from BA to IT support. At that time, Dana did not have any other Business Analysts available to work at the plant. Building the plant’s IT infrastructure from the beginning was a challenge I mastered on my own. This included install and setup of servers, working with Engineering to integrate the shop floor computers to the PLC/HMI environment, and managing our 2nd and 3rd shift IT personal. Once the plant was operating for a while, I got my first taste of Kaizen methodology. I was very involved and lead several teams that made significant improvements in our production layout.
