It is first of its kind in New Zealand with significant strategic and reputational importance to WCC.Lead WCC’s responses to technical, process design and operational readiness related queries, decisions and change requests• Manage required work streams to ensure the projects outcomes are maximixed across an integrated programme of activities • Work collegially with internal staff, Contractors and consultants, where appropriate to control and manage all phases of design, construction and commissioning/operations• Support the SMF Project team in the provision of expert programme, technical & operational engineering advice• Ensure the solutions offered are technically feasible, affordable, deliverable & meet the process, mechanical, electrical and operational engineering standards• Manage design/and or peer review of engineering solutions• Act as a client point of contact for day to day programme, technical, construction queries and ensure they are addressed in an effective and timely manner • Monitor, report, and provide assurance of performance and compliance of Engineering practices• Provide expert technical advice to WCC staff, Government Agency representatives and stakeholders • Providing the balance between safety, customer levels of service, capital versus total life cost and industry best practice• Provide recommendations to WCC regarding the procurement and purchase of plant and equipmentManage project schedules ensuring key milestones and deliverables are completed • Ensure delivery of commissioning and operational readiness plans and their implementation• Witness vendor plant testing & commissioning to confirm it is adequate for long term operations and handover
