We more than doubled the throughput capacity and more than doubled the handling capacity of AT&T’s DDoS cloud based scrubbing infrastructure. The customer base more than doubled in that same time.• Deployed virtual firewalls and load balancers in support of moving to an SDN environment for AT&T’s Project ASTRA. Several of my team members were also loaned to assist in Project Gamma which is the effort to virtualize the PE routers.• Expedite code testing/certification by being very active with labs and CSO in order to stay ahead of the security vulnerability curve in the DDoS, Uverse, and Mobility space. • Implemented DDoS scrubbing capability for Mobility, Uverse, AIC (Cloud), and IDC space. • Contributed to several tooling efforts to better support AT&T’s security initiatives. We now have tooling that can provide a reporting aspect as well as automation for auditing and deployment.• Built automation in DDoS mitigation efforts which shortened time from discovery to mitigation from over 20 minutes manually to under 2 minutes. -
