Scott started his career in the commodity food business following college. Initially, he worked for the USDA, but then quickly moved to Ag Processing in 1991. At AGP, he was a grain merchandiser first, and then a sales representative for refined vegetable oil. In 1997, Scott accepted a sales position with ConAgra Flour Milling Company. During nearly a decade at ConAgra, he managed regional and national accounts, and finished his time there as the central sales manager, in addition to working his own territory. Now, Scott is vice president at Moving Parts, L.L.C., a firm he joined in November 2006. Moving Parts is a privately owned firm that specializes in commodity risk management for food companies. They assist clients in developing disciplined strategies that minimize their commodity risk and maximize margins. MPLLC provides risk management assistance for vegetable oils, wheat flour, feed grains/meal, dairy, softs (sweeteners, cocoa, coffee), and energy. MPLLC is also one of the largest cash oil brokers in the country.
