Transitioned business functions and processes from JEN Associates to Westat. Elements included all active contracts, historical financial & employee performance, and project status & management.

Senior adviser to the president/owner on all strategic, financial, and operational matters. Introduced weekly cash flow tracking, monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reporting, improved sales pipeline tracking and project management approaches, and facilitated refinancing of their building. Implemented internal process changes to position company for sustained long-term growth across multiple functions. Assisted/counseled owner along with a specialized industry broker in successful sale of business to strategic investor.

I took on the role of COO in 2012, and helped lead the effort to rebuild the company’s strength after a downturn and long period of dis-investment. My role included oversight of business, finance, IT, legal, and HR departments, as well as development of high-level business plans and reports. In addition to bring more efficiency and consistency to financial management, we introduced a common email system and established robust business processes and tools.

After serving as Business Manager for a year, I moved up to the Senior Manager role, where I led 14 consultants and project managers in delivery of services to global customers and managed key business functions including budgets, contract, and vendor relations.In addition to exceeding goals for revenue and gross margins, I was awarded Special Recognition for Outstanding Performance.
