Reported directly to the General Manager. Recruited to effectively turn-around a $60M business division down 45% in sales. Directed sales and marketing turning the worldwide company into a $210M flash-memory business. Within two years, delivered record setting sales of $140M, more than doubling the Americas, and increasing the sector to 70% of the company’s worldwide business and carrying 70% of the company’s total profit margin.• Proposed and executed Duracell branded licensing agreement for a commodity product (flash-memory) and negotiated all aspects of the program with Procter and Gamble. Ultimately grew the new Duracell flash brand into a $40M worldwide retail business with distribution in the Americas, Japan, and Europe.• Changed company strategy to a retail channel-focused business model. Secured new business with retailers Verizon, Best Buy, Staples, Walmart, QVC, Walgreen's, Sears/Kmart, Target, Costco, Office Depot, The Source, etc.• Initiated, negotiated, and developed license relationship in flash memory products with Disney and Marvel Entertainment for retail consumer products. Developed OEM business with Blizzard Entertainment, Microsoft, Arvato, Foxconn, and Canon. This contributed over $3M per year in additional margins for the company.• Expanded product distribution into Canada, building a $16M business. Expanded Brazilian distribution to $12M in Duracell branded products.• Instituted new quota system, budgets, and MBO objectives for the entire Americas organization. Developed in-house corporate communication and reporting systems to increase effectiveness.
