Promoted in 2021 to lead the engineering teams at both MPI and AMHI. Managed a 10-member team across multiple sites, overseeing development projects of Class I and II devices. •Recruited new NPD team and hired 8 people across both sites and remotely. Promoted collaboration between sites to share technologies and best practices. Developed team leads at MN and KS locations. •Led development of product refresh with 50% cost reduction. Worked with outside design firm to develop prototypes and meet expedited delivery requirements. Managed DHF files, risk assessment, and worked with overseas vendors to source parts. Transformed a stagnant department into one with structured processes capable of developing a new product in 12-15 months.•Guided the successful development of six innovative product platforms. Formulated detailed project plans using the stage-gate process, including schedules and cost analyses to ensure alignment with business objectives. Specified system requirements and created designs using SolidWorks and CREO.•Streamlined the product development process to achieve a 25% reduction in certification time. Led the development of surgical equipment for the spinal product line. Regularly met with orthopedic and neurosurgeons to understand product needs.•Led the development of a new surgical table with capital budget of $1.5M. Managed a team of 6 multi-disciplinary engineers and guided the work of an outside design firm. The product was successfully launched and generates over $7M in revenue annually.•Designed complex mechanical devices requiring high precision and attention to detail. Specified materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and plastic that were formed, machined, molded, and plated. Created protocols and conducted testing to ensure devices met requirements.•Grew network of surgeon contacts to provide feedback during development. Observed over 200 spine/brain surgeries to gain insight into customer needs and applied these learnings to the product design.•Designed disposable accessories that were used with the spine surgery line of positioning products.

Designed welded attachments, hydraulic kits, and provided application support to fit existing product lines to new machines. •Designed and launched two product lines of hydraulic attachments to fit various sized machines. Specified valves and components to tie attachments into a machine’s hydraulic system.•Supported manufacturing by working with the shop to address issues with design and fabrication.
