• [C] Designed and developed IBM MWave Voice Pilot, a Windows application written to enable hands-free control of a Windows 3.1 session using MWave speech recognition algorithms. This application provided a voice interface, active word lists, a macro editor, vocabulary loader, control of user preferences, and other features to automate keystrokes, window commands, and launching of applications in a Windows session. Computer-Based Training hooks were used to detect application context switches, which allowed the Voice Pilot to update active word lists and load new vocabularies. Wrote, debugged, and tested all code for this project, from concept to presentation.• [C] Developed, co-designed, tested, and documented MWave Data Mover Services for OS/2, a comprehensive API and DLL for controlling data movement and timing between PC applications and MWave DSP tasks. Package is published in the Intermetrics MWave Development Kit for OS/2 and was used by the OS/2 MWave audio stack.• [C] Ported OS/2 Speech Recognition driver to Microsoft Windows. Interfaced extensively with Japanese developers in design, development, and documentation of speech recognition software. Coordinated integration of Japanese training software.• [Smalltalk] Created Smalltalk class library and Windows DLL to enable MWave Speech Recognition in Smalltalk applications (Senior Design Project for IBM Smalltalk group). Leveraged knowledge of MWave technology to enable speech recognition via Smalltalk software.
