Scott Deisher is a registered architect and a design researcher with interests in digital computation and technology, writing and publishing, and systems thinking. As a lecturer, Scott teaches computer applications in architecture and encourages students to critically examine the relationships between emerging and established design methods. Scott's teaching approach is informed by an interest in challenging established urban systems like zoning to encourage the development of new spatial strategies and systems for the 21st century. Scott has worked as an architectural designer and digital specialist, facilitating the integration of new technologies into firm-wide processes to help tackle large-scale transportation projects and industrial design research. He has also worked on a wide variety of project types including single and multi-family residential, commercial, and industrial. As a researcher and writer, Scott contributes to discourse surrounding contemporary urbanism, theory, criticism, and computation.
