Waxahahchie, Texas

Provide management consulting services to Power Generation leaders in Safety, ERCOT Regulatory Compliance, and Plant Operations. Prior to starting our consulting firm, I worked for 34 years in leadership positions in power plant operations, maintenance, engineering, management, and corporate safety and training.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Led safety for the corporation including five coal fired power plants, seven gas fired power plants, ten surface coal mines, and corporate support for approximately 5,000 employees representing the corporation with both MSHA and OSHA regulatory agencies. Directed training efforts for the power plants including a technical training facility and staff of approximately 20 teachers. Developed the work force planning process for the corporation interfacing with HR. Served as an internal consultant for the corporation in strategy development for future plant and mine operations.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Led a business unit comprised of twelve operating power plants and four retired plant sites including all aspects of plant operation, maintenance, and commercial strategy. Led efforts to optimize staffing and spending to compete in a challenging market. Worked closely with commercial trading to maximize value creation around the assets. Led innovative approaches to reduce risk and recover value on demolition of retired plants. Participated on and eventually chaired the Region G water planning group for the State of Texas.

Waco, Texas Area

Served as plant manager for three gas fired power plants, Tradinghouse and Lake Creek in Waco, and DeCordova in Granbury , Texas. Managed all aspects of plant operation and maintenance including hiring and employee development for the three plant sites. Led a transition from base load operation to peaking operation in a challenging market.

Fairfield, Tx

Served as Operations and Technical Support Manager for a two unit Coal Fired Power Plant. The role included responsibility for all aspects of plant operation and technical maintenance for the site. The technical maintenance included: Instrument and Controls; Chemistry support; Environmental Reporting; and Engineering.

North Texas

Worked in various Superintendent roles in coal fired and gas fired power plants. Started as an engineer and Big Brown SES and worked as a superintendent in Dallas area gas fired power plants.
