After graduating with honors in Sports Coaching in 2022, I decided to complete my personal training qualifications and since November 2023 I have been working as a personal trainer at The Gym Group, Edinburgh City. From years of my own training experience, skills & knowledge from my undergraduate I managed to scale my business to a point where I could leave my second job.Being a business owner has challenged me in so many ways, it isn't just about providing top level coaching, but in fact there are logistics, advertising, sales, duty of care and so much more. I have loved the challenge and it has inspired me to go out and improve my knowledge & skills yet again. As a means for improving my coaching services, and with the dreams of progressing out of general public training to working with elite athletes I have started my MSc in Applied Sport Science, 2 years after graduating from my undergraduate.Working with the public has been great experience working with individuals from all walks of life, each with their individual goals and barriers. In less than a year I have worked with many different clients, from complete beginners to experienced, even people with mobility issues or recovering from injuries. I aim to get my clients stronger, fitter, more confident and educate them, providing them the tools to become independent in managing their own health & fitness. The next stage for me in my career is to achieve my level 4 strength & conditioning. I am an extremely hard working individual, I have worked since I was 16, I worked full time while studying my undergrad, worked full time while studying for my level 2&3 personal training qualifications, and now I run my own personal training business while I am studying my masters. I hold myself accountable, and discipline has always been a top skill of mine. My work experience has built a lot of confidence, I have worked different jobs with a variety of different colleagues and I love working with people.
