- Designed next generation flight computer for MK30 vehicle. This computer includes redundancy and high reliability across an array of different processors. Worked with electrical engineering to realize this design on a single PCB using multiple power domains.- Worked with an open source community to define Cyphal (OpenCyphal) as a deterministic, pub-sub protocol to replace DDS for the MK30 vehicle and as the mechanism used to integrate third-party avionics.- Proposed a Software Defined Network interconnect for the Prime Air MK30 vehicle based on the latest IEEE 802.1Q standards.- Optimized software platforms on low-level compute to ensure hard-realtime performance while servicing multiple I/O channels.- Designed, optimized, and implemented firmware for several M7 core MCUs on the vehicle to provide low-cost/high-performance components for the MK30 vehicle system.- Was chief software architect for the MK30 avionics, leading software design efforts for a DO-178C avionics program.
