A tenured law professor, I am a legal expert in civil procedure and jurisdiction, including pleadings, class actions, summary judgment, other motions practice, jury trials, and appeals. I also am a certified FinRA arbitrator. I have consulted on litigation issues for BakerHostetler, DLA Piper, Arnold & Porter, Fried Frank, Sonnenschein, and Akin Gump, among others. I have authored or joined more than a dozen amicus briefs filed with the U.S. Supreme Court.I have written eight books and more than 120 shorter papers, and I have delivered more than 100 invited lectures. My book, "The Legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg" (Cambridge 2015), received wide acclaim as the first book devoted to this extraordinary Supreme Court justice.
