  I was born in Birmingham Alabama in the middle of a War. It would shape who I would become the rest of my life.My Father had been trying to get my Mother to move to California for years. His Family was already out here. There were good jobs waiting for both of them and housing. It took the 16th Street Baptist Church being Bombed to get her to move. My Mother was very Religious. We were in Church from Sunday School to Evening Service. She said if a Child is not safe in God’s House then this is Hell. It was the first time I saw Fear in both my Parents eyes…They were afraid for my Life.My Mother raised me with very strict rules. You look people directly in the eye when you’re speaking to them. No matter their color or station in life. To this day I cannot have a conversation without looking the other person in the eye…It was a good lesson. The eyes reveal the Soul.I loved growing up in the Sunshine of Southern California.I was politically aware very early in life. I had to be. I joined the Black Panther Party in my heart at a young age. I remain a Proud Member. Mama C. is one of my favorite people on the planet. She has taught me so much by how she lives her life. She is a Role Model, an Inspiration and a Dear Friend.My Inner Circle is filled with people who are about making this World a Better Place. I just don’t have the time or energy for people who are about “Nothing”.In short and simple terms: If you’re not a part of the Solution……..then“YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!!!”
