Take part twice per year in Tandana Foundation medical brigades in Ecuador as a volunteer medical provider. Our teams take mobile clinics to remote indigenous villages in the Andes Cordillera to provide primary-care medical services, well-child exams, vision screening, dental services, laboratory and pharmacy. To date, have participated in five different medical brigades.

Volunteer interviewer of medical school applicants for Health Professions Advising office at MSU. Travel primarily in Latin American and Europe. Participated in BreaksAway 2016 spring service trip to Gila National Forest in New Mexico to work on a volunteer trail crew.

Performed detailed physical exams of military veterans enrolled in disability program; searched military and civilian medical records for information pertinent to disability claims; wrote expert medical opinions on current medical conditions and physical functional status of veterans.Provided emergency medical evaluation and treatment for walk-in patients at community-based outpatient clinic. Employed as permanent, full-time employee of VA Montana Healthcare System.

Provided prehospital medical assessment, stabilization, and transport of trauma and medical patients at Big Sky Resort. Staffed the Ski Patrol First Aid Clinic. Instructor of other ski patrollers at annual medical trainings. Organized and taught avalanche rescue training for all new and returning volunteer ski patrollers for fifteen years. Patrolled all areas of the resort on skis for safe conditions of runs and lifts, for guests needing assistance or information, and performed daily opening and closing safety procedures. Drove snowmobiles in support of mountain operations and medical responses.
