I worked for 'several years' to start, produce and culminate the F.E.M.A. Grants along Shockney Drive. For FEMA to cover 75% of construction costs for either building a brand new house, or raising the original houses above the flood plains. There are FOUR houses in different stages of completion using the FEMA Grants, at this time. My goal is to build a brand new house on the same footprint of the original home. Making it extremely cost effective, comfortable, with added features. Customised to its owners needs. I believe people can build a brand new house, for the same cost of raising the old one.
