Scott is currently Executive Vice President and Head of Life Sciences Venture Banking at Banc of California (formerly PacWest). In this role, Scott manages the life sciences & healthcare business strategy and venture lending team to drive growth and deep relationships within the venture capital ecosystem. Scott joined Banc of California (originally via Square 1 Bank prior to acquisition by PacWest which subsequently merged with Banc of California) in 2015 to lead the expansion of its life sciences practice in New England. Previously, Scott spent five years in the healthcare investment banking practice at BMO Capital Markets and began his career at KeyBanc Capital Markets as an M&A banker where he covered the industrials sector. Scott has extensive experience leading venture debt transactions, sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions, strategic alternative reviews, leveraged finance and equity capital raises, and other strategic advisory engagements for both public and private clients with aggregate transaction volume exceeding $3 billion. Scott earned a B.S. in Finance from Case Western Reserve University and lives in Lakewood Ranch, FL with his wife and two kids.
