Scott E. Miller is a Principal with Scott Miller Executive Search, a national firm founded in January 2009 specializing in education and nonprofit sectors with a focus on diversity. He has more than 30 years’ experience with leading retained executive search firms, providing executive-level professional services and serving in the public sector. Mr. Miller most recently served as a Client Partner in Korn/Ferry International’s San Francisco office, where he spent nine years as a member of the firm’s Non-Profit and Education Practice, as well as the Diversity Practice.Previously, Mr. Miller worked as the Western Regional Staffing Manager for Watson Wyatt Worldwide (now Willis Towers Watson), an international human resources’ benefits consulting firm, where he established a nine-office regional recruitment function. Mr. Miller recruited for all levels across all practice areas of the company.Prior to Watson Wyatt, Mr. Miller worked in the San Francisco office of a boutique executive search firm, The Alexander Group, recruiting mid- to upper-level management candidates. While there, he served as an outsourced human resources/recruitment firm for the nation’s largest private utility. He also worked at the San Francisco office of a Spencer Stuart.Mr. Miller began his career in Washington, D.C. where he served at the U.S. Department of Labor focusing on Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity, and later at the White House in Presidential Personnel where he recruited executives for political appointments within the administration.Mr. Miller is a graduate of the University of Alabama.
