Team leader for initial nEw3™ device test application development. Managed and reported on schedules for all device level tests. Lead developer of device final functional test. The team focused on quality and efficiency of code. Team member defining requirements for a software/hardware system solution at distribution centers. Test application developer of the first Brady device test application. The software architecture has been leveraged for multiple generations of Brady devices. The system saves thousands of medical devices each year from being unnecessarily scraped at the distribution centers, and has improved the quality level of the programming of these devices being returned to the field for implant. Lead engineer for a time critical development, release, and deployment of a test system and test application needed at a high volume facility. This test system/application was developed, released, and deployed in 14 days. At the over-seas facility, worked with the team to install and qualify the test system. Over 200 medical devices were tested and saved from being scrapped. High-level team member charged with defining device final functional test system architecture. Technical lead on initial test application development and worked defining the structure of the test application, and test sequencer interface. Released over 40 device test applications to high volume facilities. Member of test S.O.P. Team for five years; defining procedures and combining IC, Hybrid, and Device into one S.O.P. Member of the Lean Test S.O.P. team, creating a lean, standardized process targeting the elimination of critical errors. Member of the test documentation team defining the directory structure for test releases. Two years as immediate supervisor of 2 engineers. Resource management and yearly performance reviews. Responsible for the design and development of an M.S.A. compliant OC-192 10Gig/Sec fiber optic transponder. Designed electrical/mechanical/layout of circuit boards, mechanical enclosure, and assembly procedures. Established requirements for and designed, constructed and authored operational procedures for two test systems. One system tested 10Gig/Sec fiber optic Lithium Niobate modulators biased at quadrature, and the other system tested M.S.A. OC-192 transponders for BER and Eye Diagram conformance. Developed manufacturing process for the building and testing of fiber pigtail blocks. These required blocks are a key sub-assembly of the Lithium Niobate modulator. Represented company by demonstrating our OC-192 fiber optic transponder to potential customers on-site as well as at O.F.C word-wide optical communication trade shows. Member of the negotiating team to contract with Fitel of Japan to manufacture 10,000 transponders per month. Continual training and management of 7 technicians, responsible for daily supervision to include yearly performance reviews.
