About Scott Ellem

My professional attributes formed by working in many industries and sectors. I was part of Virgin Australia for twenty years and was privileged to develop my skills in many roles. I was initially in the contact centre then working at the airport dealing with customers face to face and later in the Virgin Lounge. My goals at Virgin were to develop excellent customer service skills that could be transferable to any jobs and I was fortunate to work with a wide variety of customers from all walk of life. In my last ten years at Virgin I was a reservation travel consultant helping our clients with their holiday plans and some administrative duties. After Covid, the next step in my professional career was to complete a Certificate IV in Education Support to work as a teacher's aide helping students with learning needs and disabilities.  I have also worked for Anglicare as a Client Service Advisor finding my skills perfectly suited to help the aged and vulnerable communities access the services we offer. I have found great joy in being able to expand even more my attitude and skills in this sector. I am a strong communicator able to assess customers’ needs and work with policy and procedures to determine the best outcome in accordance with guidelines. I have demonstrated to be resilient and engaging, showing good judgment and empathy. I value honesty and strive to get it right the first time. I am focused on integrity and supporting others by sharing knowledge and build relationships. I am proficient in the use of various applications and able to learn new ones as required. I have adapted successfully to the flexibility required to work in hybrid environments and thrived in both situations, whilst maintaining a strong work ethic. I’m currently working for RSL QLD as a Memberships Services Coordinator. I help deliver the training of the Membership Management System to the Sub Branches and process members applications to be part of RSL QLD.
