More specifically, as the Director of Data Engineering at eVestment, my responsibilities include leading the strategic technical vision and implementation of procuring, storing and delivering eVestment’s institutional data to our clients. I’m extremely fortunate to work with some of the most skilled software engineers team in the world, building cloud-based software solutions using a wide range of technologies, including (but not limited to) .NET, Vue.js, MSSQL, Redis, ExtJS, and a host of AWS services. My responsibilities include collaborating with Product Strategy to provide a long-term vision for our platform, partnering with Senior Leadership to manage within budgetary constraints and overseeing all software operations for 30+ onshore and offshore engineers.

I lead a team of rock star software engineers building the best institutional investment software in the industry. More specifically, I’m responsible for our ensuring our technology helps facilitate data collection accurately, efficiently and intuitively. Guided by Agile principles, I work directly with our CTO to provide technical strategy, team leadership and hands-on development to build innovative software solutions to meet these objectives. While I love coding, I apparently have a knack for working well with our business teams to collaboratively build out product roadmaps and organizing teams to execute successfully against them. With a core technology stack of Javascript (ExtJS), C# (ASP.NET), T-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server), coupled with supporting technologies like Redis, Elasticsearch and ActiveMQ, our cloud-based software is the industry leader in collecting and analyzing institutional investment data for a global community of investors.

As a Senior Software Engineer, I design, develop and implement software solutions at eVestment built on a Dot Net stack, including the use of ExtJS, Javascript, MSSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch and ActiveMQ.
