 General Supervisor responsible for overseeing all maintenance related items for Melt Shop equipment (Electric Arc Furnaces, AOD, Slab Caster, Overhead Cranes, Environmental Equipment)  Enforce and implement company safety programs and policies for maintenance employees  Work with company and union safety coordinators to resolve safety issues and improve overall safety  Assist with all maintenance troubleshooting and repair activities for Melt Shop equipment  Provide technical support to identify issues and resolve them in a timely fashion  Coordinate with Production to ensure repairs are completed with minimal delay to operations  Follow up to ensure the root cause of failures are identified and preventative actions are initiated  Provide technical and/or engineering assistance to Area Supervisors  Plan and coordinate daily work for Melt Shop maintenance employees  Plan and coordinate internal and contractor labor during yearly maintenance outages  Train and develop maintenance employees, hourly and salary, on department equipment and procedures  Orient and mentor new department hourly employees  Train new Area Supervisors in their area of responsibility  Train new department Engineers to develop, manage, and complete assigned Capital Projects  Mentor and/or assist department Engineers to create or update company CAD files  Identify, locate, and coordinate purchasing or repairing of critical spare parts  Project Manager for medium-to-large Capital or Major Maintenance projects  Identify Maintenance or Capital Improvement Projects required to improve department efficiency  Lead Capital Projects from inception to installation and commissioning  Develop a scope of work, budget, and project goals  Accountable for keeping projects within their assigned budget and timeline  Follow up to ensure projects have met their intended goals and all documentation is updated

 Area Supervisor responsible for direct supervision of hourly maintenance employees and maintenance tasks on Electric Arc Furnaces (EAFs), scrap loading and handling equipment, and associated overhead cranes  Enforce and implement company safety programs safety programs and policies for maintenance employees  Periodically review Safe Job Procedures and Energy Control Procedures  Perform weekly audits to ensure employees are following safety protocols  Lead troubleshooting and repair activities on equipment breakdowns  Supervise repairs to ensure jobs are done safely while minimizing downtime to production  Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic issues with assigned equipment  Identify root cause of equipment failures using 5-why methods  Utilize RCM principles to successfully reduce overall downtime on EAFs

Work in 8-3 Melt Shop (Electric Arc Furnaces, AOD, Slab Caster, related waste water treatment, overhead cranes)-Actively participate in plant safety programs and provide suggestions for improving worker safety-Improve reliability on equipment with chronic issues by implementing predictive inspection techniques and/or equipment redesigns-Perform inspections utilizing thermal imaging and ultrasound technologies-Perform precision motor alignments-Facilitate and lead equipment FMEA's-Review current PM's to improve efficiency and effectiveness-Lead and assist with new equipment design and installation-Project manager for small to medium scale capital projects-Train employees using PdM technologies-Provide engineering support analyzing equipment failures-Update drawings for equipment changes and improvements-Assist maintenance supervision by filling in vacancies due to vacations or other reasons-Supervise weekend maintenance down days-Coordinate and supervise maintenance/contractors during yearly maintenance outages
