Working in the Company's manufacturing arm, I am a key member of the team charged with taking the Speedpanel range of fire-rated spandrel panels successfully to market, ensuring that the production projects are delivered efficiently, accurately and safely.My key responsibilities include:- Establishing, communicating, implementing and monitoring standards for quality and H&S within the manufacturing facility.- Planning and communicating work activities of manufacturing operatives, supervising to ensure productivity and safety and that projects are completed within the timescales allowed.- Planning and procurement of materials.- Coaching operatives in ways and standards of working.- Ensuring all relevant records and documentation are maintained.- Monitoring for efficiency in all manufacturing operations, retaining commercial awareness in relation to all applicable processes.- Assisting in the development of the manufacturing facility capability, including the mechanisation of the production processes.

My primary role was to ensure that project procurement requirements were identified, recorded, tracked and controlled to enable key project deadlines to be achieved. I coordinated the procurement on large-scale construction projects including the £13million façade contract for the HMRC Regional Headquarters in Leeds.My key responsibilities included:- Maintenance of a procurement tracking process and associated tools.- Liaison with project team members and suppliers to collate details of products, approvals, orders and deliveries.- Generation of purchase orders in line with contractual requirements.- Generation of detailed materials schedules from architectural drawings.- Attendance at Internal Project Meetings to report on the status of procurement.- Promotion of on-going communication within the related departments on the progress of project procurement. - Collation of procurement information including orders, technical sheets and materials safety data.

My role was to manage the cutting, CNC, tailoring, sewing and dispatch departments to ensure that production targets were met and quality control measures were maintained.My key responsibilities included:- Recruitment, management and training of teams of cutters; both manual and CNC processes.- Coordination of teams and processes from receipt of order on the manufacturing floor to dispatch of goods.- Pattern taking for a variety of vehicle types.- Liaison with customers on requirements.- Formulating proposed process changes and operational improvements, including identifying resource and investment requirements against the established business strategy.

I held several positions in my time with the Company, giving me experience at both supervisory and operative levels in product design, procurement, manufacture and dispatch, as well as customer service. I also played an integral role in bringing innovative new products to national and international markets.My key responsibilities included:- Management of the CNC Department, including:- initial sourcing and set-up of machinery, and alignment of the production area- identification of effective processes- training and coordination of a team of CNC operatives- close liaison with the design team and supply chain- conducting time and motion studies and materials testing to report on potential improvements- Product Design: integral role in the development of new products, including an innovative system for protecting caravans while towing, successfully launched internationally as the Tow Pro®.- Pattern Taking; development and operation of a methodology for taking patterns from a wide variety of vehicles.- Digital Patterns; digitising and nesting patterns for production on a digital cutter.- Procurement and stock control.- Tailoring and Sewing; cutting (by hand or digital cutter from measurement or pattern) indoor and outdoor protective, camouflage and reveal covers, and using a variety of industrial sewing machines.- Maintenance and repair of company equipment including upright cutters, industrial sewing machines, compressors and fork-lift trucks.- Sales; including setting up, manning and dismantling exhibition stands.- Customer service; managing orders, advising on product use, dealing with complaints.- Training of new team members in pattern-taking and cutting.- Operating the fork lift truck and couriering as required.
