I supported web platforms for the creation and submission of annuities forms & electronic records to Symetra, and supported the intake & output of financial records to distributors using JETS.This job entailed both production support and development work. This included web platform configuration, form tagging and forms XML tasks using a blended Scrum.

I supported web applications related to the sales of fixed annuities, and mainframe systems related to IPS file transmissions to/from agents. The last 2 years were on a Scrum team where I increasingly took on more BA tasks and trained the team BA's to perform the QA role. As part of the Scrum team I performed backlog grooming and Scrum Master tasks as part.

I was part of an XP Production Support team for a secure website used by commercial lines insurance agents to create quotes electronically.

I tested various mainframe policy administration systems for commercial insurance, both production support & large project work. I also tested & supported an actuarial based component used in an automated underwriting tool for commercial business, both renewal & new business.

I trained agents to use Safeco systems, and supported agents as they wrote policies for Safeco. The agents wrote specialty commercial insurance business including coverage for small municipalities, tow trucks, ambulances, non-profit social service programs, professional liability programs, and more.

I entered new business applications into Safeco mainframe policy admin systems for commercial insurance, and supported the renewal process for commercial policies.
