In Feb 2002 our home burned to the ground. I installed many commercial features and outside the box add-ons for function and form. The main benefit was I could create a space to be handicap and ADA accessible, thinking we might have an aging relative needing those features somewhere in the future. I was on-site with every sub crew, acting as the "licensed contractors" shadow and manager...the epitome of a knowledgeable customer from hell. Ended up having so many crews and managers fired or replaced, the owner of the construction company took over day-to-day with me on site. I Began as a night dispatcher, becoming lead within a year. Promoted to Repair Depot Manager where I opened 3 new facilities nationwide in 2 yrs. Transferred into Logistics Dept. then promoted to Fleet director over 300+ vehicles. Re-org: Became HR's New Employee Liaison & Trainer and managed off-site facilities. Took over Travel Management and became a licensed WorldSpan Travel agent for in-house airline ticketing.
