As the Chief Operating Officer at MacLab (NZ) Ltd, I lead the company’s operations with a deep commitment to advancing sustainable practices in the aquaculture and seafood industries. My career spans over 20 years, during which I’ve transitioned from hands-on marine operations to strategic leadership roles, consistently driving innovation and growth.Throughout my journey, I've managed complex supply chains, overseen large-scale manufacturing processes, and delivered on ambitious projects that have significantly expanded production capacities. I’m particularly passionate about the intersection of science and industry, working to forge partnerships that create innovative solutions to the challenges facing aquaculture today.In addition to my role at MacLab, I serve as Co-chair of Moananui (Blue Economy Cluster) and Deputy Chair of Aquaculture New Zealand (Industry Representative Board), among other board positions. These roles allow me to influence industry-wide practices and contribute to the development of New Zealand’s “blue economy,” which I believe is key to achieving both economic growth and environmental sustainability.
