I have experience in the mining, oil and gas and renewable energy Industries and I bring valuable skills in site management, heavylift operations and workforce development and Safety and Training honed under the exacting standards expected in such workplaces. Previously employed as a Learning and Development Advisor for Snowy Hydro and previously as a Leading Hand on a major LNG project, I successfully assist management in providing a safe working environment for operations, as well as daily assuring the cost-effective management of operational employees in regard to their accountabilities and responsibilities. I bring particular strengths in Site health and safety processes such as Work Method Statements, Permit to Work procedures, and in identifying gaps in employee training and assuring that such training and development needs are fulfilled. Previous to my resource sector roles, I was responsible for the logistics management of airline catering transport, where I was bound to the most strict client schedule and safety requirements. At that time, I was elected as Chairman of the Regional Health and Safety Committee by my peers to improve current perceptions of OHS in the workplace and to assist employees and management to review and implement an effective safety management plan within the company. My current skills and experience allow me to assist in various roles such as heavylift operations, accounting, training and assessment, team management and effectiveness, Health and Safety policy development and implementation, and client liaison. In addition, I hold several High Risk Work Licenses that provide me with the required level of skills and understanding to safely manage and supervise high risk scopes of work.
