I am a hardworking Environmental Engineering Technology currently attending University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. During my internship with Brown County Port and Resource Recovery, I gained experience in properly handling, labeling, and shipping hazardous waste materials. I was also able to learn from a myriad of different experiences including landfill work, networking with SWANA members, and weekly staff meetings. My time working with ALTA Resources taught me how to work with clients to always reach a solution that both parties were satisfied with. On campus, I am an officer in our ASCE chapter. I assist the chapter president in planning and setting up meetings, planning events, and recruiting new members. I am also 40hour HAZWOPER certified and I am taking my FE exam in Spring of 2021. In both my academic and personal life, I am always striving to learn through everything I do. Whether working on academic, extracurricular or professional projects, I apply proven hard work, reliability, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills, which I hope to leverage into the engineering role with this opportunity. My junior year of college was especially challenging for me due to a difficult class load. I completed all my courses with A’s and B’s while also managing to stay active in extracurriculars. I continued in my major and will graduate with a 3.7 GPA in my upper-level courses. When I am given a task, I am persistent to complete it to my best ability and in a timely matter, and I would love to show this if given the chance.
