 My career at Valued Services began with me deploying white-box desktops to our store locations. From there, I moved into the network admin/systems admin role. During my time in that role, I assisted in the design and rebuild of the internal corporate network (including a mixed mode and heterogeneous AD network), deployed over 500 SonicWall firewalls to remote locations (all managed from a central location), and maintained two datacenters that supported over 500 remote locations, two corporate offices, and over 1,200 employees.I was promoted to IT Manager in 2007 at the recommendation of my boss and the CEO. In that role, I led an internal IT staff (both local and remote) that consisted of desktop support roles and Systems Administrator roles. During this time, I recommended IT strategies and policies by evaluating outcomes and identifying problems. I optimized IT efficiency by delivering and supporting strategic plans for the IT department, including the development and management of security strategies ensuring SOX compliance. I led a large-scale security consolidation project that reduced monthly security costs by over 50%. I led the relocation and consolidation of two independent datacenters during the merger/acquisition.
