My role as an Ambulance Technician with the Scottish Ambulance Service included providing high quality emergency, unscheduled care to patients, carrying out checks to assess risk and ensure safety to patients, relatives, the public and colleagues, assessing, treating and monitoring patients, ensuring that vehicle and equipment are clean, fully stocked, and in a serviceable condition, working effectively and professionally as part of a team with other emergency services and care agencies, and mentoring student ambulance technicians throughout their probationary period, providing written, verbal and practical feedback and support when required.
