About Scott Hackney
Hello, I am ScottMy longest period of employment was at City College Plymouth where I started as an apprentice for customer service in 2005, I went on to train to level 3 while also gaining my IT users level 3.I put this to good use when I got a F/T job as IT support to students. I did this for a number of years gaining more IT experience. My role was then changed to delivering training to lecturing staff, this role was a new challenge to me that I enjoyed greatly. Teaching skills were gained over the period of this role as well as a teaching qualification. My main duties were to train, support and create web content to the needs of the colleges staff.While working at the college I took a second job on in the same department as a disability support assistant whereby I supported a most wonderful woman who had a stock years earlier. After a long recovery she returned to work through the governments return to work scheme who I was employed through to support her. This job was very challenging at the beginning as I had to gain a number of new skills such as budget management, work flow priorities and working to KPIs (key performance indicators). I also had to learn librarian skills as she was a librarian and unable to complete all her duties alone.Lastly I started cleaning work as a supervisor due to me having a passion for cleaning services as well and leading a team of people to carry out cleaning duties. This is my current line of work, but I wish to progress to supervisor again and management so I could manage a cleaning/housekeeping contract. This my goal, I need only to gain experience under a company that would allow me the chance to work at this level which I am most capable of doing.I am versatile and passionate about whatever it is I am doing.I strive to improve myself and gain new skills and take great pride in leading and supporting people in their work.I ask that if you have a position to consider me, I would be able to provide references.
