Scott M. Hamberger is a person of faith, a husband, and father. As an entrepreneur, investor, board member, and philanthropist, he defines his personal mission as increasing human flourishing through the vocation of business. Scott founded his first business, Fortessa Tableware Solutions, while in college in 1993, which he led from a garage start-up to global leadership within its industry and an approximate $100mm enterprise value. In 2022 Scott merged that business Zwiesel Kristallglas of Germany to create a group with more than $200mm in revenue and 1000 employees. Following a successful merger, he set his sights on new opportunities to pursue his mission. Scott is a skilled strategic thinker with a particular talent for analysis and marketing innovation. Scott demonstrates excellent communication skills and is an accomplished public speaker and writer. These talents give him an ability to identify, articulate, and lead the implementation of strategic plans. He has deep experience in the key elements necessary for successful business growth: governance, business development strategy, business processes, infrastructure, and capital. Scott and his wife Megan reside at the Hamberger family farm in the foothills of Virginia’s Blue Ridge, where they pursue an eclectic life. They continue their entrepreneurial passion with various businesses based on the farm, including a highly innovative hydro-aeroponic greenhouse operation, a hospitality business, as well as livestock. They invest in start-ups and micro-caps, putting to good use Scott’s experience and belief in business as a social good to the support of other entrepreneurs. Both of them serve as board members and leaders in nonprofit and for profit entities with whom they enjoy sharing their experience. Together with Scott’s mother, Rose Ann, and their children they deploy charitable resources in strategic support of organizations that act to change culture for the better, whether locally or nationally. Scott currently serves on the Boards of Zwiesel Fortessa Group, Eagle Financial Services, Inc. (the Bank of Clarke), Catholic International University, the Religious Freedom Institute, and the Economic Development Authority of Loudoun County. Scott serves on the Advisory Board for the Bolte School of Business at Mount St. Mary’s University. Scott holds a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Mary.
