I am a people-person and I have spent several years as a lawyer, policy maker, and Senior Executive in administration. I have extensive experience leading cross functional teams on numerous successful projects. I have forged lasting relationships with government, municipal leaders, health authorities, professionals, and numerous other internal and external stakeholders. In addition to my Regional Administrative Officer and Executive Director roles I am the system transformation lead for my organization with respect to a number of ongoing provincial initiatives including the implementation of the Provincial Clinical and Preventative Services Plan (PCPSP). The PCPSP is not only an effort to improve clinical care; it is an exercise in financial management and effective management of resources for all healthcare delivery in Manitoba. I am also the lead for the new Medical Remuneration Forecasting Model work that is being led by Healthstats Inc. My experience as a practicing lawyer and negotiations coach have served me well throughout this process. I am trusted with delivering results based upon strategic priorities. Our staff is our strength; my recent MBA has enhanced my on-the-job education with respect to organizational behavior best practices and my thesis was with respect to change management in a chaotic setting. My ability to quickly understand relationships, build partnerships, and lead effectively in a large organization is evidenced by rising to the position of acting CEO within three years of entering the system in which I began with limited knowledge.I gain energy from learning and facilitating the growth of others; we can only achieve success through allowing others to work to their full potential.
