The Executive Director (ED) Medical Services and Regional Administrative Officer (RAO) as a member of the Executive Leadership Council holds two key roles. As ED Medical Services and in collaboration with the Vice-President and Chief Medical Officer is responsible for leadership for planning, organizing, administrative direction and coordination of Medical Services throughout the region. This role is responsible for Medical Services administration throughout the Region; Liaison for Diagnostic Services Manitoba. As RAO, is responsible for various senior level administrative functions crossing portfolios and serving to meet the sustainability of the Region. This role, in a manner that crosses portfolios, leads regional sustainability projects with a view to gaining internal efficiencies, coordinate regional initiatives with respect to provincial expectations and lead stakeholder agreement initiatives. Further, is responsible for policy development and governance as appropriate.Situational Leadership faculty for the Northern Regional Health Authority.

The Vice-President Communications and Stakeholder Relations, as a member of the Executive Leadership Council, leads, oversees and manages a number of operational units in a way that develops talent, motivates and inspires. Included in this portfolio are the following areas: Communications, Community Engagement, Health Information Management (Health Records and Client Registration), Emergency Management Services (Ambulance), Volunteers, Foundations and Auxiliaries.

Ensuring that the planning and policies of the Regional Health Authorities are operating within provincial guidelines with specific attention paid to Acute, Tertiary, and Speciality CareBalancing the interests of the Regional Health Authorities, the interests of the Province of Manitoba, and the interests of Manitobans to ensure that medical services are appropriately provided in a safe and effective mannerCollaborating with senior leadership at the Regional Health Authorities, senior leadership at Manitoba Health, Healthy Living and Seniors, and senior leadership for First Nations.
