Scott Hancock grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, moved to Flagstaff for high school, and has since lived inTucson for the past decade. He is earning a dual masters (MBA/MPA) in Sustainable Solutions fromPresidio Graduate School and on track to graduate May 2023. His current field of focus centers on the imminent energy revolution and its relationships to extreme heat. Energy Democracy is a concept originating from the Environmental Justice movement that sees the energy transition as a potent opportunity to address the inequities of yesterday’s energy systems. If equitable outcomes aren’t mandated into the grid of tomorrow, then equitable outcomes won’t be part of the solution. Scott’s ambition is to propel the energy landscape into its future state while ensuring that the results serve everyone.
