My general insurance broking career spans 33 years and includes experience in Australia, London, Indonesia and Singapore. Although I enjoyed climbing the corporate ladder working for international broking companies nothing beats being a shareholder in your own business. I joined Austbrokers Premier as a Director and shareholder in 2009 and wish I did it 10 years earlier. The Austbrokers model is excellent and they provide essential "backoffice" support and assistance with strategy and growth.I have see many things in our industry over this time, lids blown off silo's at the Port of Brisbane, heat stress stock losses at feedlots, floods and fires. There is nothing more rewarding in this role than a successful claim settlement.Outside of work I enjoy surfing, family life, travel with my wife Louise and watching our kids grow up.
