    Senior Project Manager
Siemens Industry, Inc. Jul 2011 - Sep 2017
    Munich, De
I managed global firmware and software development for several projects of varied size in a CMMI3 environment. I started my senior level leadership role in Austin, TX with a startup company purchased by Siemens to help integrate good practices and methodologies. I successfully incorporated tools that were beneficial to the group, and automated other tools that were beneficial to senior management. This role provided me with great experience on how to mesh very different cultures for the benefit of both. Utilizing these tools, I successfully completed a major project to update their website infrastructure and user experience. Additional projects included the development and release of a controller to support gathering environmental data from the customer sites in order to provide trend-based data for HVAC analytics. My position eventually moved back to Illinois where I took on multiple projects focused on IT, firmware, and hardware updates involving 40+ members.

Siemens Industry, Inc. Jul 2008 - Jul 2011

In this role, I managed a mix of small and large projects focused on integrating 3rd party HVAC devices with our building controllers. With a strong desire to find efficiencies in work processes, I successfully updated the Access project database to automate the small project process, almost eliminating project overhead. On the larger projects, I reviewed processes with the team and identified where redundancies and non value-added tasks existed , reducing overhead by 90%.
  • Siemens Industry, Inc.

My role started with the decision to outsource our SMT production to Europe and Malaysia. I successfully transferred over 50 products without impact to customer shipments. My role continued with support of new product development and performance initiatives. This included a team effort to design a customer integration process that allowed a smooth transition from outdated hardware to a new system with only 1 hour of downtime. This resulted in over $50MM in revenue.
