I reported to respective Australian High Commissioners and Minister for Foreign Affairs.I was the Commander in PNG (3 months) for the whole of government support to the 2018 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Meeting. I established contracts for the provision of accommodation, food, medical support, infrastructure build, and intergovernmental liaison needed for a follow-on contingent of more than 2,000 personnel.

At its peak, JTF 635 grew to 2,000 personnel and remained in Fiji for two months.The diplomatic outcomes achieved by the ADF drew personal praise from the Foreign Minister and a letter of thanks from the President of Fiji to the Australian Governor-General. My efforts were recognised with a Conspicuous Service Medal.
