District Manager, Company Operated Stores Led newly formed district in San Antonio for a year and a half before moving to the Austin Market.  Responsible for large geography spanning all of Kansas outside of Kansas City. Led extended geography and increased store count (up to 21) for interim periods of three and six months respectfully with ND, SD and NW Arkansas. Responsible for approximately $21M annual sales budget, not including stretch assignment budgets. Key operational responsibilities: staffing, training & development, partner resource compliance, retail promotions, sales growth, controllable contribution, change management, problem solving, performance management, and community involvement. Developing others: developed one SM to DM, have been DMC for three of our six other DM’s in Area 68, and have developed an internal bench for SM and future DM opportunities.  Peer leadership in leading area calls, area QBR’s, and mentoring DM’s in our area and beyond. Change leader in Mid America Region. Most recently demonstrated with our Inventory Management AOP initiative. Have been an area and national leader in Quality Assurance Standards with every team (Kansas, San Antonio and Austin). Attended two internal development programs: Leaders Developing Leaders and Emerging Leaders. Received DM of the Year for Business for Mid America and have been awarded Area DM of the Year twice. Six months as Licensed District Manager: Responsible for large geography spanning all of Kansas outside of Kansas City with four licensees and 23 stores in portfolio (grocery, travel, big box retail, and AAFES).

• Managed day-to-day operations for the Nutrition Services Department which provided food for three different venues – 900 bed hospital, employee café, and Garden café, with approximately $5.1 million of revenue.• Key operational responsibilities included: staffing, retention, performance management, budgeting, financial performance, productivity, developing menus, and interfacing with department heads to achieve company goals.

•Opened the Wichita and Topeka markets.• Key operational responsibilities include: management staffing, training & development, performance management, human resource compliance, risk management, in-store marketing, sales growth, purchasing and budget analysis & control.• Highest sales district in the company for several quarters, in the top 5-10% in company with food and labor costs, and one store won the Founder award in its first year of inception.• Managed wide geography including Tulsa, OK, Topeka, KS, and Wichita, KS.
