I teach Chemistry and Biology at Mission Hills High School. I also recently cleared my single-subject teaching credential in science.I completed my intern (student) teaching and first preliminary year of teaching at Valley Center High School. The classes I taught included Oceanography and Chemistry. This was my first full-time teaching role after completing my single-subject teaching credential from National University. My single subject teaching credential has qualifications to teach Foundational-level Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Geoscience.Prior to my credential pathway, I was a substitute teacher for the San Marcos Unified School District. My experience included a long-term substitute role for Geometry and Algebra 2 classes; a total of 24 weeks (3 different long-term roles). I have also taught summer school in 2021 and 2022 managing virtual classes through the Edgenuity program. In addition to math, I have helped the district for many subjects including science, the humanities, foreign languages, and roles in special education. In total, I have a total of 3.5 years of substitute teaching experience.I have a comprehensive understanding of science as I studied molecular Biology at UCSB. I also have a M.D. from Ross University SOM (a Caribbean medical school). I have a total of 4.5 years working within a clinical medicine setting. I am board certified through USMLE Step 3 and also obtained a certificate in Clinical Trial Administration from UCSD.
