I am a licensed clinical psychologist, and the clinical director of Chicago Psychology Services, a comprehensive psychology practice in the Chicago Loop. I take an integrative approach to treatment, combining, psychodynamic approaches, CBT, and mind/body interventions (clinical hypnosis, mindfulness, relaxation training, and biofeedback). I treat trauma and addiction, chronic and acute pain, and serious mental illnesses. I also help people overcome mental blocks and issues with creativity and productivity. I currently serve as the President Elect of the American Psychological Association's Division 30, and I am the former Vice President of the Chicago Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis.

Primary rotation was delivering comprehensive assessment and group and individual treatment to all patients on the LSTAR (Life Skills and Recovery) unit, Gateway’s 16-bed, Mental Illness and Substance Abuse (MISA) unit, as well as providing consultation to the unit counselors and clinical director. Secondary rotations included comprehensive, ASAM assessment and insurance pre-certification with the Intake department, and assessment and treatment with the men’s and women’s adult unit, male adolescent unit, and Intensive Outpatient program. Psychometric assessment was also performed across units for diagnostic clarification. Evidence-based practices utilized for group and individual therapy (CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based relapse prevention, and biofeedback). The patient population consisted of child to adolescent, diverse ethnicities, from varied SES background.
