In my time at Facebook I provided key analytics support to drive the development of a number of in-product features that impacted hundreds of millions of users, as well as measuring the impact of big-budget marketing campaigns. A few interesting details are featured in the points below.• Led analytics efforts for the Factory Product team, including designing experiments that measured the overall impact of the TextDelights program. These experiments allowed me to decide whether to recommend that a new feature be introduced widely or rolled back.• Developed a company-wide experiment framework to measure the overall impact of animated product experiences on the Facebook platform.• Provided lead analytics support to multiple global on- and off-platform brand marketing campaigns by setting up controlled experiments in order to measure impact on user sentiment (i.e. early campaign versions of Germany’s “Make Facebook Your Facebook”, US “What’s on your Mind” campaign round 2 etc.).• Designed and tested email marketing campaigns for lifecycle marketing for Facebook Watch.• Improved analytics infrastructure by developing a scalable A/B test analysis framework (Hive -> Python -> R).• Conducted exploratory analyses on sentiment data (PCA; factor analysis) and tested targeting algorithms (Python) with the goal of improving campaign targeting.
