Scott Jacobs is the CEO of Landbank, a privately held commercial real estate development company. Landbank has developed over 4,800,000 s.f. of office/R&D space for technology companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. Scott’s commitment to environmental excellence is woven into the fabric of his projects through enhanced performance goals, biophilic design, and regenerative design principles. Scott is involved in all aspects of Landbank’s new development projects – from acquisition, design, and entitlements, to marketing, leasing, finance, and construction.In 2015, Scott signed an 815,000 s.f. lease with Apple for a ground-up LEED Platinum office/R&D development called the Central & Wolfe Campus located in Sunnyvale, CA. This transaction turned out to be the largest single new office lease in the United States in all of 2015 (non-renewal and non-sale leaseback) and the second largest Bay Area office lease between 2010 and 2020. The Silicon Valley Business Journal awarded Landbank’s Central & Wolfe Campus development the 2016 Deal of the Year. In 2019, the Central & Wolfe Campus won an American Architecture Award as one of the best new buildings in the United States.Scott has given presentations on biophilic design, net-zero energy design, sustainability, and real estate development at conferences for Greenbuild, Net Positive, International Living Futures Institute, the American Planning Association, the Urban Land Institute, the Harvard Real Estate Alumni Organization, and the National Net Zero Forum.
