Responsible for the operation and growth of the Ameresco Intelligent Solutions (AIS) energy metering and solutions service for the Midwest region of approximately twenty (20) industrial manufacturing facilities. The AIS product provides plants with energy and water system metering in addition to the expertise required to analyze the metered data, identify cost savings opportunities, and implementation of the cost savings measures. The program is an extension of the plant engineering team focused on increasing the energy and water efficiency of the client. Because energy conservation is a relatively new concept most of the customer base did not fully understand the effort required to achieve consistent results. As a result initial effort involved understanding customer expectations, identifying root cause issues, and putting in place customer plans to better align expectations with support while building the corporate relationships to help the plant level clients fund their energy projects.

Technical role focused on manufacturing efficiency reductions in fuel, electricity, water, and solid waste for the Gatorade plants in the Eastern United States. Key responsibilities included identification, development, and management of resource conservation projects; management of department capital plan; development of non-capital behavior based initiatives to achieve efficiency improvements; short/long term program planning/modeling/forecasting; design and management of resource conservation metrics reporting system; and realization of resource conservation takedown and productivity targets.

Consultant in application of electrical and mechanical engineering for energy conservation in commercial buildings and facilities. Responsibilities varied by engagement and included initial site evaluation and proposal development, detailed design of the solution (with special emphasis in control systems) and management of the solution.

Hired as a full time project engineer after graduation. Promoted at 6 months and was given increasing responsibility for both the engineering and the project/customer management on increasingly complex projects. Assisted in mechanical design of a wide range of projects that span from cogeneration plants to high-rise buildings.
