On March 11th, 2011, a historic 9.1 magnitude earthquake and massive tsunami-ravaged Japan's Northeast coast. Three days later, my Navy helicopter crew flew to a Japanese elementary school to deliver food and medicine to hundreds of gracious people. I will always remember the wide smiles, deep bows of gratitude, and a gigantic "ありがとう USA!" (Thank you, USA!) painted on top of the school.My career has been anything but ordinary. I have led small and large teams of 20-100 people in the Navy, Royal Canadian Air Force, and Coast Guard for 17+ years in fast-paced, high-stress environments to help make the world a little less chaotic. In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, I provided aerial infrastructure assessments to help senior FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) leadership return the ports of Houston and Beaumont to service.I am an MBA graduate from the University of Florida, a 2022 JPME graduate from the Naval War College, and a Marine Corps’ premier Operational Planning school graduate.
