In 2016 I founded Verus Insurance Services, which is now Solv Independent Insurance Associates, with a vision to change the way the industry treats clients, employees, and vendors. Solv is a full-service brokerage firm assisting employers with their core and voluntary employee benefits programs including compliance, technology solutions, and plan management.I have helped clients like Campbell Soup, Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies, Foster Farms Chicken, S&W Fine Foods, Color Spot Nurseries, Monrovia Growers and Aerojet/Gencorp refine their benefits programs.As a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist and holder of the National Association of Health Underwriters Certification in Consumer Driven Health, I developed a reputation for bringing innovative solutions to clients in areas that are often overlooked by other consultants. Having expertise in the large group market has allowed me to save clients millions of dollars in benefit costs while often being able to simultaneously improve benefit levels for employees.

With a reputation for bringing innovative ideas to the table that are quite often overlooked by other consultants, my expertise is in the large group market saving clients millions of dollars in benefits costs. Quite often doing this while improving benefit levels to employees. Responsible for implementing the first fully integrated managed care plan in the history of Campbell Soup, saving the company $1.9 million out of a $7.7 million budget. This program later became a model for Campbell to implement nationwide.

I took this company from a small partnership to a company with 45 employees and over 450 clients. Kelley & Swain was acquired by EPIC (Edgewood Partners Insurance Center) in March of 2008.
