I am President of Summer Sky Treatment Center an alcohol and drug treatment center that has helped more than 16,000 adults and adolescents overcome drug and alcohol addiction by providing high quality, individualized care that addresses the physical, spiritual and psychological needs of our patients. I am involved in the fight to provide addiction treatment services to as many people as possible at the local, state and national levels. I am passionate about recovery and treatment. My personal goal is to continue to fight for access to more treatment services for those that have no voice, because their addiction leaves them out of the conversation. I am an advocate for those that need addiction treatment and my primary desire is to be helpful as an addiction professional. I was recently awarded the 2013 Terry Hale Addiction Professional of the Year Award which was presented to me by the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals. Better known as TAAP in Texas.
